An update to the Sayed Pervez Kambaksh Story. Because of world wide pressure on the Afghan government it has been reported that Sayed's death sentence will not be enforced. What exactly that means is still a trajic snapshot of life within a government built upon sharia law.
" What they call my trial lasted just four minutes in a closed court. I was told that I was guilty and the decision was that I was going to die", reported Sayed in an interview by Kim Sengupta and reported in The Independent. There is a petition with nearly 90,000 signatures as of March 12, 2008 and you can add your name to it for Sayed's release.
